million88 A Spark on the Yoga Mat Turned Into a Flame
In early 2019million88, Rachael Kesler Palm was teaching an afternoon power sculpt class at FlyDog Yoga in Charlottesville, Va., when Carolyn Ann Warhaftig walked in.
“Immediately there was a spark,” Ms. Palm said.
Ms. Warhaftig, who played soccer since she was 5 and professionally for one year in Iceland, enjoyed the intensity of the workout and quickly became a regular. But the appeal extended beyond the exercise.
“I’d put my mat down and hope she’d come over and talk to me,” Ms. Warhaftig said of attending Ms. Palm’s classes.
The two developed a rapport, and though their attraction quickly grew, they were married to other people at the time, so they tried to fight their feelings.
“I told myself we’re just friends,” Ms. Palm said. “But I was lying to myself. I was dreaming about her, thinking about her nonstop.”
Though Ms. Palm had short flings with women in her 20s, she had never allowed them to turn into something serious, she said.
