Lanier defeated fourth-seed Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand 21-11, 14-21, 21-14 in their opener. The 19-year-old is the first-ever French player to win a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, a feat achieved at Japan Open 2024.
